Caljouw- William Michael- Passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on April 30, 2012. Born in Nanaimo, BC on September 29, 1933. Predeceased by his son Bill (1989). Lovingly remembered by his family – wife of 58 years Ann, children, Michael (Gabriele), Steve (Sharon), Michelle and Shawn (Tami); grandchildren, Rielly, Liam, Corey, Carlee, Cassia, Quinton, Whitney, Saige, Mya-Rose and Peyton; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Noah and Braydon; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Christian Reformed Church 930 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Monday May 07, 2012 at 2:00p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Box 73 Duncan, BC V9L 3X1 or the Kidney Foundation 200-4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 4K6.

I have just learned of Mike’s passing and am saddened we will no longer meet on the streets of Duncan and share our chats and stories. Working with Mike in the 80’s was always a joy as his sense of humour and zest for life cheered everyone. And that is what I will enjoy remembering, his zest and joy of life and his pride in his family. God Bless all of you who made his life full and rich, just as he added so much to our lives.
