Michelle Desrochers
November 28, 1968 - April 3, 2021
Tribute
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Michelle who left us far too soon, at the young age of 52 years. Michelle is survived by her daughter Brytny, son Cody, father, Roland Desrochers & his partner, Barbara. She is also survived by her brother Michael Desrochers, boyfriend Kevin Theriault, her grandchildren Harley & Julianna, her beloved dog Bear, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Michelle was born in Duncan, BC, and raised in Lake Cowichan. She spent many years living and working in Nanaimo BC. Some of her favourite pastimes were planting and tending her garden and canning the harvest. In her younger years she enjoyed playing her guitar, singing, writing poetry. She loved music and dancing.
Michelle loved being in the boat, out on the ocean, cruising and crabbing.
A quote from one of her poems. “ there is nothing but the smell of salt air, the feeling of it kissing my skin, rejuvenating body and soul, the sea is my greatest love, could never love anything as I love the sea. This is my home!!!”
Michelle is predeceased by her mother, Joyce Desorchers.
Forever in our minds and hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to covid.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Altzheimers society of BC would be appreciated
