Michael William Bishop

April 13, 1952 - August 21, 2019

Tribute

Passed away peacefully on August 21, 2019 in Duncan, B.C. with his wife and best friend, Sue, by his side. He was born on Easter Sunday April 13, 1952 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Mike’s secondary education was in Electrical Power Technology at NSCC Institute of Technology Campus, Halifax. He also studied Radio Acadia at Acadia University, Wolfville, N. S.

He retired from Nova Scotia Power and B.C. Hydro as a Power Plant Control Room Operator. He enjoyed his time involved as a Lieutenant in the Sea Cadet organization. He was also deeply involved in supporting and working at the local ”THE LAKE” radio station.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Venita (Rockwell) and Harvey Bishop and his brother Vincent.

Michael leaves behind his wife Sue, sisters Lola, Joy, Cece & Laura-Lee and brother Joseph; Sons Jon (Stacy), James, Drew (Kyle), daughter Heather (Colter) and step-daughter Angela (Craig) and step-son John (Tamara ), as well as 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews a God-daughter as well as his aunt and uncle.
