ANTONIUK: Michael Lance – Passed away suddenly on Monday July 2, 2012. Born in Vancouver BC on September 3, 1966. Predeceased by his mother Laura. Lovingly remembered by his family; father Marvin; sisters Marvina, Myra (Rick) brothers Marvin, Mark (Catherine), Mitch (Kelly), brother and best friend Miles and his nieces and nephews Samantha, Rhys, Chase, Hannah, Cade, Evie, Emma and Olivia.
Mike was always willing to help, had a strong back, a problem solver, handyman, peacekeeper, at times he appeared to be a follower and yet never compromised who you are as a quality friend and great leaders. He led by example , though not often as to be blind to see. Mike was compassionate, generous, loyal, helpful and loving always giving freely of himself. We often received these gifts you gave without appreciating their true value. It is true we don’t realize what we have until it is gone. We will strive to learn what you tried to teach us. Who will be the handyman, mower, driver, and friend now that you are cutting God’s hedges.
With love from all of us, until we meet again. May you find love and peace in Mom’s arms.

I was so sorry to hear that Mike has passed away. I knew him for years when I lived in the Cowichan Station area, where he was a great help to me on many occasions. We used to have coffee at the log building on the TCH in Duncan. Mike was a great guy, very generous with his time and friendship. I will miss knowing he is around and am very sad that he died so prematurely.
