Tribute

Melanie Lynne Eden (nee Case)
April 21, 1972 – May 23, 2011

Melanie passed away suddenly, at home, on May 23, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband Carlos Valente and her loving parents Brian & Connie Crawford, and Gordon Case.
She also leaves behind brothers, Gordon (Justine) Case and Colin (Sarah) Case, and stepson Tico Valente, aunts Lynda MacLean, Sheri Maclean, Bronwyn Case; Uncles Geoff (Annette) Case and Julian MacLean, niece Sarah Case and nephews Michael & River Case along with many cousins in New Zealand.
Melanie was much loved by all who knew her. Her enthusiastic approach to life affected us all. She genuinely cared about people from all walks of life and one of her passions was working with the homeless along with her husband Carlos. Melanie had a deep and abiding faith and her church family from St. Peters meant so much to her.
Another of her passions had been fastball; she played as #8 for many years with the local team The Psychos.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church 5800 Church Road Duncan, British Columbia on Saturday May 28, 2011 at 1:00p.m. Online condolences may be offered at www.hwwallacecbc.com

Mel, I will miss you forever. I will not forget you but will always be sad you are not with us anymore. You were a great friend and such an embassador in many ways. Your smile would light anyone up and your kind words will never be forgotten.
I love you Angel and know you will always be with me wherever I am.
I will be with Carlos, your family and all your friends tomorrow remembering you. My heart is so heavy right now. It seems so unfair but God has a plan for you and as much as it hurts us left here, it is exactly where you need to be
Love you buddy
