Tribute

Milne: Margaret – Suddenly and unexpectedly on August 2, 2009. Margaret was taken from us to join her mother Isabel and father Robert. Margaret was a free spirit who enjoyed the little things in life. She was a very kind and giving person who would always go the extra mile for anyone and took pride in making a difference in the lives of others. She was the most accepting mother and friend, and could always make light of a situation through humor and laughter. Margaret leaves behind, daughters Rebecca (Jon), Rosslyn and Heather (Ted); twin sisters Sharon, Carol (Paul), her twin Marilyn (Doug) and brother Bruce (Colleen). Margaret’s most memorable times took place at Verdier (Rock Beach) in Mill Bay, where Jim and Margaret spent their free time with their children. We would like to invite family and friends to join us at Rock Beach (Verdier Point) on Mill Bay Road, Mill Bay Saturday August 8 2009 at 1:00 p.m. to remember and celebrate Margaret’s life. Followed by a get together at the Lion’s Hall on the corner of Shawnigan Mill Bay Road and Cameron Taggert, where Margaret and her life stories can be shared and remembered. “Margaret says BYOB”

Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of a very special person, Margaret Milne. I met her a few weeks ago at Thrifty’s check out. She commented on how much she enjoyed my anti Bamberton letter in the News Leader. I thanked her politely and asked her name and how she knew me. She replied “most of us know you in this community and I met you some time ago.” Then I asked her name and I remembered it when I read the obit column. I’m very sorry for your great loss.

We were deeply saddened to read about Margie’s passing. All our heartfelt condolences go out to her family. We remember her for her humor and her very distinctive laugh. Even though we did not have a chance to visit with her in recent years, when we did run into her at Thrifty’s in Mill Bay she always had a cheerful rememberance of the time we had spent together years ago and always insisted that we had to get together once again. It was as though the time had never passed!!! We love you Margie and you will be missed.
