It is with deep sadness that the family of Marc-André Lachance shares the news of his passing on July 6, 2021 at the age of 76.
Marc was born in Valleyfield, Quebec and lived most of his early life in Duparquet. He set out across Canada to work in the mines and learn welding/fabrication and mechanical trades. He moved to British Columbia when he was 25 years of age. In 1974 he started Dormark Venture Ltd and ran a successful company for many years.
Marc spent the majority of his life with the love of his life Lynn Lachance. They enjoyed travel and family time together. Marc loved Mexico! Marc is survived by his wife Lynn of 37 years, his son Clint Steigenberger (Karen), and daughter Vickie (Brent), and grandchildren Colton Steigenberger, Kelvin Flowers and Randi Flowers, brothers Jean Yves (Lise) and Hugues (Linda) and nieces Karine & Claudie, and Genevieve and Marie-Pierre as well as good friends including Victor St Pierre and Yves Pratt and many others.

It is hard to put into words the loss of Marc. He has been a long time friend of myself and my husband , we have had some wonderful holidays together and many a summer BBQ. His character was beyond reproach, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for a friend or the friend of a friend.. For a little guy he left a huge hole in the universe. I am so thankful to have had the time I did knowing Marc! RIP ❤️ My thoughts to Lynn and his family in Quebec ..

We all are truly blessed to have known Marc. I could not have ever asked for a better step father. Anything I wanted or needed, he was there. His emotional support was beyond words. Dad was the only person ever to bring me to tears with just a look. His silence and patience said a thousand words also. Dad was so so smart. The hours of talking to him, and the fun we used to have when we were both young, I would not trade for anything. I love you my little French man. Love Vickie 💙
