Malcolm John Perman

March 5, 1933 - December 4, 2019

Tribute

In sadness we share the passing of Malcolm John Perman after a battle with cancer. Malcolm is survived by his son Fraser Perman and daughter in law Dulce Maria Perman.

Malcolm left us on December the 4th 2019, four months after moving to Crofton from Richmond Vancouver.  We have many memories of sailing the gulf islands for many years, and sail boat racing around the waters of Vancouver. Dad loved to do water color painting and was a talented carver of wooden figures. Many thanks to the staff of Duncan hospital and all of the palliative  care team. You are dearly missed and loved dad.

Relation: My friend's father

Thank you John, I am forever grateful for all that you did to help me when I needed it. May you rest in peace.

From: Debbie Armstrong
Relation: Worked with John at Bell Canada.

Hello Fraser,
I was looking online for your Dad today because I drove through Whitevale earlier today and thought of him. At least I’m pretty sure it was him. I was looking for your name in the obituary and there it was. If Becky had been listed as his wife (your Mom), I would have been sure it was the right John Perman. I am going to assume it is.
I worked at Bell Canada with your Dad in the early 1980’s. He was always good for a laugh. I have nothing but fond memories of John. He invited a bunch of us to your home in Whitevale. It is so built up south of there now that John would be shocked. When we came to your house, it seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere. Times change.
I have often used one of the things your Dad used to say to us at times, “Carry on as if you were normal!”.
Again, my condolences to you and your wife.
