Lynne Dorby (Cain)

October 10, 1961 - July 29, 2016

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne who died peacefully on Friday, 29 July at 8:25 am. Lynne was only 54 years young.

Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Ken, her daughters Jennifer and Jessica, her sons Jerod and Jake and her siblings Paul Cain (Paula), Joanne Jones (Kevin) and Jerome Cain (Marnie). Lynne was deeply loved by many nieces and nephews.

Lynne was born in Ottawa, Ontario to Vincent and Yolande Cain. She attended her post secondary education at the University of Winnipeg and later at Camosun College. She then worked as a bank teller and later in the foreign exchange department. Lynne and family eventually settled into the Cowichan Valley where, in addition to her family, she became a loved ESL home stay parent for 14 years.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the round-the-clock care given to Lynne at VGH and RJH (Richmond Pavilion) by all the staff. Also, to the extended family, our amazing neighbours and the community.

Our lives are fuller because we shared your moment on earth. We will love you forever and always.

Please join Lynne's family in Celebrating her Life on Tuesday, 16 August, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Arbutus Ridge Golf Club ( Mount Baker Room), 3515 – Telegraph Road Cobble Hill, BC.

In lieu of flowers, it is preferred that people make a donation to Victoria Hospice.

Although we are far away in Ireland Jess and the Dorby family are in our thoughts and prayers. We never had the opportunity to meet Lynne but I’m sure Jess inherited her kind and loving nature.
