Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend Lucy Mae Turenne (Arnold).
Lucy is predeceased by her husband Ted Turenne, parents Elwood and Ida, sister Ida, brothers Steve and Charles.
Lucy will be greatly missed by her son Jerry, daughter Janice, son Kevin ( Maureen) and granddaughters Alicia, Emma and Chloe-Anne.
Lucy was born February 24, 1940 in Wadena Saskatchewan. At the age of six her family decided to move west to Golden BC. This is where Lucy met her husband Ted. They made a home for themselves in the town of Golden. After a few years they purchased property nine miles south of Golden; this became their paradise. Ten years ago Lucy decided she wanted to be closer to her grandchildren so made the move to Duncan BC, Vancouver Island.
Lucy loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and gardening. She had a passion for fossil hunting and exploring anything to do with history, but her biggest passion was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held for Lucy this summer in Golden. Date yet to be arranged.
