LORRAINE BARBARA THOMAS
Jan 5, 1935-Sept 4, 2011
After a courageous battle with cancer we announce the passing of a wonderful loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lorraine was born in Red Deer Alberta to Albert and Ada Berrow, she was a daughter of nine children.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Ted and Jack, a baby sister, her son Jack,
grandson Brad and adopted son in-law Ron Nielsen.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband John of 58 years, daughters Judy (Bob) Maxson,
Janice (Stuart) McKee, son David, and daughter in-law Melody, her beloved grandchildren
Sheila (Andrew), John, Rachelle, Ryan, Jason (Nicole), Whitney, and Jared.
Great-Grandchildren Hailey, Allyssa, Noah, Clayton, Riley, Casey, Shelby, Jack, & Jady
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her brothers Bill, Reg and Harold and sisters Joan and Irene and many
other family members and good friends.
Memorial Service to take place Sunday September 18, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Youbou Community Church,
10648 Youbou Road, Youbou BC. Following will be a celebration of Lorraine’s life at
Youbou Volunteer Fire Department, 10704 Youbou Road, Youbou BC
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to BC Cancer Foundation or a local charity of your choice.
