Tribute
Passed away in her sleep on May 3, 2015 in Cairnsmore Place. Lorna was born on December 22, 1929 in Victoria, BC and is survived by her brothers Stewart (Sharon) and Bill Donaldson as well as her aunt, Ruth Donaldson.
Lorna was very active in her early years with Social Services in the Vancouver area leading to a career in teaching. She was passionate about boating and loved travelling in her motorhome on many adventurous trips.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of Cairnsmore Place and Cowichan District Hospital for the compassionate care that Lorna received.
A Celebration of Lorna’s Life will be held privately at a later date.
Memorial Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I was fortunate to meet Lorna professionally, but felt a friendship with her and had many interesting visits with her. She was an independant lady, who had a wonderful life travelling, and meeting new people, which she seemed to cherish. I was so surprised to hear of her death and felt sad that I didn’t have more time to get to know her. She will be remembered fondly. Janet
