Linda (Lynn) Joyce Lees

May 12, 1947 - June 20, 2026

Tribute

Linda (Lynn) Lees was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Great grandmother.

Lynn was born to Gladys nee Elliott and Robert Thomas (Tom) Cumpstone May 12th 1947 at North Battleford in Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents, her Brother Geoffrey, sister in-laws Judith Chamberlain and Rosemary Cumpstone.

Lynn is survived by her husband Michael (Mike) Lees; together they raised three children Susan (Robert Cardin), Stephen (Nicole) and Tony (Sarah). Grandchildren Jessica McDill (Brendan), Amanda Cardin (Nick), Gordon Cardin (Melissa), David Lees (Kaitlin), Dillon Lees, Chelsea Northwood, Kelsey Towe, Amy Lees and Eleven Great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Terry (Edith) and Robert (Rosemary), two sisters Kathi Marie Heim (Rick) and Pat Balmer (Robert). Brother in laws Paul Lees and Brian Chamberlain.

Lynn was active in community sports in earlier years, coaching and umpiring junior baseball. She loved camping, several road trips across to Ontario and later prairie graveyard stomping with the grandchildren looking for ancestors. She loved hunting and fishing, spending many hunting seasons at the moose camp (Moosehenge). She also loved sports being a dedicated follower of all the Vancouver sports teams.

Her earlier working career in the 80’s was at the Royal cleaning centre, in the late 80’s she started working In Dietary at Cowichan District hospital. In her final years before retiring she drove the truck delivering meals to Cairnsmore place and the Lodge.

Lynn was also a valued and respected 25 year member of Sahtlam Volunteer Fire Rescue.

There will be no service as per Lynn’s request. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Canadian lung association in Linda’s name.
