Tribute
Leonard passed away peacefully at Sunridge Place in Duncan, B.C. after a struggle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, son Terry (daughter-in-law, Amanda), granddaughter Heather, son Dave (Carol).
He was an amazing grandfather to Raymond and Sarah and husband Trevor Baete and great grandfather to Hudson and Asher Baete. He was predeceased by his grandson, Scott.
Leonard was born in Boseman, Man. At a young age he moved with his family to the Etomamie district (Hudson Bay Jct), Sask. He joined the PPCLI with his brother, Cecil, in Regina in 1942. He served with the forces in Europe until the end of WW II in the Signals. He married his lovely war bride, Cynthia, in Epsom, England, Mar 1, 1945. He joined the Saskatchewan Government Telephones, April 27, 1947 and worked there until retirement in 1978. They retired to Duncan, B.C. where he enjoyed many years tending his rose and vegetable gardens.
