Tribute
Since I have never been traditional, I decided to write my own obituary. I was born May 21, 1958 and deceased March 11, 2026. I was predeceased by my mother Doreen, my father Gilbert, and my nephew Andrew. Left to grieve are my soulmate and wife Louise and son Nick and his partner Ashley. Also left to grieve are my sister Karen and husband Larry, nephew Peter (Shannon), mother-in-law Pat, and brother-in-law Steve (Kelly). Also, a special goodbye to my best friends over the years Ross Stenmark and Kevan Brewer.
Louise, sometimes it’s hard to find the words to tell you how much you have meant to me. If I did anything right in my life, it was when I gave my heart to you. You are my best friend, my soulmate, my everything. I love you always and forever. You are my greatest blessing and I’m endlessly grateful for you. Your love, strength, and the way you show up every day make my life better in more ways than I can count. I see your love in the little things and the big ones and I don’t take any of it for granted. Thank you for being my partner and my safe place. We have always stood together during the darkest times, especially through this challenging last year with you being by my side.
Nick, you may be a man to the world, but you will always be my little boy. I love you more than anyone could ever believe, always and forever. Thank you for being my strength when I was weak. Loving you taught me patience, courage and hope. Every heartbeat of mine carried your name. If strength had a face, it would be yours. You were my why, my always, my everything. You made me a better person coming into my life. I love you so much.
To others, I hope I have touched your life in a good way and I will see you on the other side. To quote Jimmy Buffett, it’s been a lovely cruise.
