Ken Mattin

April 8, 1948 - January 29, 2014

Tribute

Ken passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, ending his long struggle with C.O.P.D.

Left with his wonderful memories are his wife of 47 years Evelyn and his daughters Kim and Sherri .Ken will also be dearly missed by his son in law and favorite fishing partner Roy Ross, two beautiful granddaughters Kristin and Samantha, grandson Matthew and great grandson Andre. Ken is predeceased by parents Margaret and Bob, brother Butch and his sister Roberta.

Ken was well known throughout the Valley for his welding and fabricating skills. If he couldn’t fix it, he could build it. He took great pride in the Christmas decorations he designed for his family as well as many businesses up and down the Island. Ken lived true to the credo that anything you do, do well enough to put your name to it.

Ken’s family invites you to attend a gathering to share and enjoy memories of his life. Please join us at the Quw’utsun’ Cultural and Conference Centre, 200 Cowichan Way, Duncan BC, Sunday, February 9 at 1:00 pm.

H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre Staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Brian Watkins
Relation: Friend

I was very saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. I worked for Ken in the early 90’s, and it was because of his generosity and understanding, I was able to pursue a new career path. Although I haven’t seen Ken for many years, I often think of him and the impact he made in my life. My condolences to Evelyn and the entire Mattin family.
Rest in peace Ken.

From: Andy and Regina Selder

Dear Evelyn and family, We remember so well how you both cared so well for the neighbours on Seine and Arnhem. Who can forget the wonderful Christmas decorations and the Halloween events. We were deeply saddened to hear of your loss. With heartfelt caring,
