Kathleen Elizabeth Helmer (nee Keir) born October 29, 1921 passed away peacefully at Nanaimo BC on April 1, 2018.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Robert Thomas Helmer and is survived by sons Robert Thomas (and wife Karen Lee) of Phoenix AZ, Gregory Jon, Michael Helmer-Keir, daughter Barbara Jane of Crossfield and grandson Christopher Lyon of Calgary AB.
Kathleen graduated University of Alberta with BSC, the University of Calgary with a PhD, and the University of British Columbia with LLB. Dr. Helmer was appointed to the Provincial Court of Alberta in 1985.
A graveside Memorial will be held in Calgary at Union Cemetery in the summer. For information, contact Barbara Helmer: apluslearning@shaw.ca
