Tribute

Judy Gayle Valleau (Brubaker) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Friday February 18, 2011. She leaves behind her daughter Maureen (Mike), Grandkids Tracy, Jessa and Jailyn, siblings Barb (Rick) and George (Joanne), mother in law Lavonne and many other family and dear friends.
Judy was born at Duncan Hospital January 29,1953. Her early childhood years were spent in Youbou, and her early teen years in Tahsis and Duncan. Judy has lived on Vancouver Island her entire life except for a short 4 month period when she was taking a key stroke program in Bremerton Washington with a cousin. Judy met Bill in Junior High School and married in 1972. During her childhood was active in Brownies and Girl Guides and enjoyed attending Sunday School every Sunday. Judy LOVED singing, Spent summers camping and swimming on Cowichan Lake. Judy was happiest when helping other people and being with family, a trait she learned from her Dad.
Judy had a rewarding carreer in Accounting, and worked for the government and various other companies throughout her working days. Judy had a passion for sailing and enjoyed being out on the open water. She loved the long hours and hard work in the freezing cold sailing in the many reggata”s she entered. She loved her time spent with her daughter Mo and granddaughters Tracy, Jessa and Jailyn, she will be forever remembered for the long walks and singing silly songs they would sing together.
Judy laughed easy and loved deeply. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.
