It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Anderson of Arbutus Ridge, in her 79th year, on March 27th, 2019 at Victoria General Hospital. Loving friend and partner of Ian Gordon. Greatly missed by Sarah, her Bijon Sans Frise, and her cousins Doug and Shirley Garniss, Bill and Jackie Garniss, Mary Edith and Doug Parsons, Marilyn Craig, Nancy Daer and their families, all from Ontario, as well as her many friends. Predeceased by her husband Andy Anderson, and her parents Marion and Norman Calvert.
Joyce was born in Wingham, Ontario, and grew up in Lucknow and Paris, Ontario. She moved to Vancouver as a young woman and loved B.C. She spent her working life as a bookkeeper. Joyce lived and loved life to the fullest on the island and beyond. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at a later date in Ontario. Relation: Joyce was a friend and a cousin to us
Even tho’ we lived miles apart, we thought of Joyce often and cherished the memories when we were together. You lived a good life and brought us many laughs and good stories. Thank you Joyce for all the good times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ian at this time and for ever more. Bill, Jackie Paul and Sandra, Michael and Kim, their families as well as David too.

You were such a good friend. You are going to miss her I know. I have not seen Joyce
