Joseph Yarley Wright, born on September 13, 1935 in Leslie, Fife, Scotland, died at Victoria General Hospital much sooner than expected on October 3rd. Joe is survived by his loving wife Joanne of 56 years and will be sadly missed by his two sons Joseph (Chris) and John (Kristy), his brother John (Janie), his three nieces Patricia, Eleanor and Linsay, and his grandchildren Jaimee, Max and Evan. Vancouver Island was his final destination after working in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta as a geologist. His many interests included gardening, photography, Scrabble and singing with the Duncan Choral Society.
No service by request.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
