James Allan

April 14, 1952 - February 6, 2010

Tribute

Allan James of Duncan B.C. died Saturday February 6, 2010 at home peacefully in his sleep. Born in Ladysmith B.C. April 14th 1952 and raised by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs.Withers.
James loved hunting, camping and the great outdoors. He loved to read, and loved a challenge. When it came to helping others his knowledge, generosity and imagination seemed to save the day. Now he is on a new journey which will surely lead him to a new adventure.
He will definitely be missed for his wonderful stories, his brave acts of standing up for those who needed help and his great sense of humour.
Survived by Vicky, his loving wife and four sisters, Patricia, Colleen, Julia, Sheila and close friends Deb Basnett, Linda and Barry, Hal and Lori
Due to his love of fun we will be holding an Irish Wake in his honour at 784 Aros Road Cobble Hill February 27th 2010 @2pm,. Bring your own medicinal libations, funny stories to share and please no suits.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Fire Arms Association Box 52185 Edmonton Alberta T6G 2T5 or the S.P.C.A. Online condolences may be offered at hwwallacecbc.com

Just thought I would send my condolence to James’ family and friends at this difficult time. I have only known him for a short time, but James would visit us here @ Steel Pacifc atleast once a week with some material to recycle or dispose of and he was always a pleasure to see and have in the yard. So sorry for your loss. He will be greatly remembered here as a happy man. He always put a smile on my face. Thanks

I wish to express my condolences to James family and relations. I was employed by James to do some gunsmithing work and we had a good working relationship. I built a new stock and refinished the metal on one of his favorite rifles. I was proud to have done this work for him and he kept me in stitches with his stories. I will really miss his entertaining stories and knowledge.
