Tribute

In Loving Memory of
Jackie Kraushar
July 29, 1940 – June 23, 2023
It is with heavy heart that we announce our beloved mother, Jackie Kraushar, passed away suddenly on June 23, 2023.
Mom was a loving wife to Bev for 63 years, a beloved mother to Corinne (Scott) and Joanne (Dale) an ever-caring grandmother to Ashley and Nicole, and a beloved sister to Sharon.  Jackie is  predeceased by her sisters Liz, Bernice, and Phyllis and her parents Everett and Sadie.  Jackie leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and close friends.
Jackie was born in Edgerton Alberta, the 4th of 5 girls born to Everett and Sadie Taylor. The family moved to Edmonton when Jackie was a young child where she attended school, worked, and met her husband, Beverly Joel, whom she married in May 1960.  Jackie and Bev raised their girls, Corinne and Joanne, in Sherwood Park, Alberta eventually moving to Thetis Island in 1979 and then to Duncan in 1983.  Bev and Jackie opened the “Electric Outlet” in Duncan operating the business until Bev’s retirement in 2015.
Jackie’s kind spirit, warmth, and compassion, enveloped family and friends.  She cherished her time with grand children.  Jackie’s welcoming nature, love to laugh, and quick Irish wit always left her friends and family feeling loved and wanting more.  She brought a smile to faces, and enjoyed the laughter with her curling ladies and her Sassy Lions friends.
Mom left a lasting impression on those that she encountered and will be sorely missed.   She leaves a large footprint that has touched the hearts of many.
Sometimes things happen that seem too difficult to face; But hearts do mend, and time can be a healer to help soothe the pain.
It is with heartfelt sorrow and much love that we say goodbye,
Bev Kraushar
Joanne, Dale, Ashley, and Nicole Ellison
Corinne Kraushar and Scott Lipscomb
Sharon and Vern Nerling
In lieu of flowers, we request donations to the Sassy Lion Thrift Store Society in Duncan at 164 Kenneth Street.  All money will be allocated through the Lions Club to support local projects.  Please call 250-746-4495 for information.

From: Rob and Tom Reid-Ruechel
Relation: Friend and Neighbour

Huge hugs to Joanne and Corrine and Bev. We are saddened by your loss of a lovely Mum and dear wife and mother. We lived up the street from Jackie and Bev at Stonewood Village.
Jackie- along with Bev, always had time for a laugh, a catch up and the occasional afternoon “beverage”. She and Bev were among the first people we met when we came to Vancouver Island from Ontario. We were introduced over dinner at our friend Donna Kaiser’s home.
We’ll always remember you.
