Ivor Walter (Pat) Patterson, 84years of age, left this world peacefully on December 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at Cowichan Valley Regional Hospital, Duncan, B.C.
Pat was born on June 24, 1941 in Victoria B.C., the son of Harvey and Margaret Patterson. He grew up in Victoria where he started his career as Draftsman with the B.C. Govt. He worked for several companies during his career, on Vancouver Island, mostly in metal fabricating, also in North Vancouver.
Dad had many passions in life besides his children and grand children. He belonged to several Rifle Ranges on Vancouver Island.
At the Victoria Fish & Game Club on the Malahat he assisted in building a trap & skeet range and designing the tower. He loved to teach gun safety and trap & skeet shooting. His children and niece & nephews benefited from this skill. He won many shooting trophies. He belonged to the Malahat Masonic Lodge and Victoria & Duncan Legions. He had a life long love of music & dancing. And his sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.
Pat is survived by his wife Maureen, and first wife Lois, his son David, Daughter Teresa (Kyle), step children Deanna & Julie and grandchildren, Jasmine, Leilani, Levi, Brayden & Alexis. as well as great grandchildren. He is also survived by his Sister Dianne (John), niece Kathi, & nephews Cody and Tim.
Ivor’s interment will be in Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria.
At the family’s request, there will be no service.

MY CONDOLENCES TO DAVID AND TERESA AND FAMILY. PAT WAS A GREAT FRIEND. WE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT TIME WHEN WE WERE HUNTING AND FISHING TOGETHER OR JUST SOCIALIZING. “MAY OF HAD A FEW BUBBLIES’ TOGETHER”. PAT WILL BE MISSED.
