Hilda May Hankins, nee Haslam was born in Calgary Alberta, December 18, 1920.It is with great sadness that we have lost an amazing woman on February 22, 2013.Hilda attended Sahtlam school and married Albert June 18th 1942. she was a member of the Legion and Women of the Moose. Hilda had an amazing spirit and kind heart. She loved to play bingo and cribbage with her homecare workers. She always loved getting out and seeing the world around her.Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Annie, beloved husband Albert, and son Rodney as well as 4 sisters and 2 brothers.She is survived by her children Lyn (Mike) Werhun, Anne (Herman) Underwood, Donna (Dick) Williams, Dean (Karen) Hankins, Daughter in law Faye Hankins, numerous grand children, great grand children, and one great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Audrey Platt, and her brother Marshall Haslam.Anyone who ever entered mom’s home was welcomed with open arms.We will miss you Mom, and we will all think of you every time we go for ice-cream.Interment will take place at Cedar Valley Cemetery Thursday February 28th at 10:30 am with tea to follow at Glenora Hall from 1-4 pmat 3660 Glenora Road, Duncan BCDonations can be made to the Cancer Society or Charity of choice.
