Henry (Hank ) Fitzpatrick

Tribute
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Henry (Hank) Fitzpatrick passed away Sept 11, 2026, at the age of 97 years.
He is survived by loving wife Bev of 75 years, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grand-children, sister Teresa Kelly and extended family.
Hank was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and rode the rails solo to BC as a teenager, then his logging career began. He was resourceful and never backed away from a challenge. Through hard work he advanced and adapted as the industry evolved. After a long career, he retired as Manager of Western Forest Products Logging Camp at Sewell Inlet, Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii).
During his working years, he and Bev lived briefly in several island communities including Great Central Lake, Gordon River, Honeymoon Bay, and finally chose Lake Cowichan as home.
Hank was a long-standing member of March Meadows Golf Course and played as often as he could. He enjoyed driving his 1969 MG Midget with his clubs in the passenger seat, playing jigs on his violin, smoking cigars on the patio, and chatting with the old timers over coffee.
Hank had a big personality, a very dry sense of humour, and liked a good laugh.
