Hahner Helmut July 21, 1950 – January 06, 2012
Our father passed away suddenly on Friday January 06, 2012 at the age of 61 years.
Helmut was a good man, enjoyed playing pool, a hard worker and a loyal Canucks fan. He is survived by his five children, David, Amelia, Matthew, Stephen, stepson Max, five grandchildren, his partner Miryam, his parents and three siblings. Dad left us too soon and will always be remembered and never forgotten for his sense of humour, dedication to his job, love and devotion to his family and his many friends. Donations to your local SPCA 7550 Bell McKinnon Road Duncan, BC V9L 6B1 can be made in his honour.

I was sad to learn of Helmut’s passing. I spent a delightful year with Helmut as his helper on his mail route. We worked hard through all kinds of weather, often to a variety of Helmut’s favourite country tunes. We laughed a lot, cried a little, reminisced, told stories. Mostly we laughed and shared a crazy sense of humour. That was one of my best work years. Helmut was always a gentleman and a friend. Best wished and condolences to all of his loved ones. We will miss you Helmut.
