Born January 9, 1954 in Weston, ON, first son of Harry and Gladys Stubbs. After a valiant battle with cancer, Harry passed away on September 14, 2022 at home in Cowichan Bay, BC.

Harry has embarked on a new journey (just not sure whether he’s on the Stairway to Heaven or the Highway to Hell, lol), where he will, in true Harry fashion, be packing on the miles, finding free cups of coffee, chatting on the radio, rocking out to Dire Straits and George Thorogood, flirting with waitresses, helping out anyone who needs a hand, and driving his dispatchers round the bend! I’m sure his rig will be a stellar example of chicken lights and chrome, as easily recognizable as his rollicking laugh and his wicked sense of humour.

Harry will be remembered with love by his wife Kathleen (Kat), his daughter Jessie (and grandchildren Quentin, Taylor and Mason), his son Rick (and granddaughter Merina), and his daughter Sam (and grandchildren Dakota, Cheyenne, MacKenzie, Austin and Delilah). He will be mourned by his mother, Gladys, his brothers Wayne, Richard and Kenneth, and his sister Julie, as well as his extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his beloved father, Harry (Hap) Stubbs in 2007.

We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the medical personnel who supported Harry through this time, particularly Doctors Williams, Neilson, Adzich and Wenzell-Smith and their associates, and to the nurses who took such wonderful care of him.

No service is planned. The family would like to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy.
