August 27, 1968 – May 29, 2019
Hardev Singh Manhas was born August 27, 1968 in Duncan at Cowichan District Hospital. Left us surrounded by his family and friends, May 29, 2019, at the same hospital he was born, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Hardev was predeceased by his father Harbhajan Singh. He is survived by his loving wife Manjit, son Aniel and daughter Makisha, mother Kuldip Kaur, brothers Tek and Sohan, sisters Kuljit, Monie and Nina.
Hardev was a compassionate and loving person who always had a smile on his face, even when he was experiencing pain during his final days.
Hardev was very ecstatic about his Boston Bruins making it to the Stanley Cup finals.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at CDH, especially Dr. Masuda, Dr. O’Malley and Dr. Tang at BC Cancer Society.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the New Life Community Baptist Church, 1839 Tzouhalem Rd, Duncan. Doors open at 10 am, service begins at 11 am, followed by lunch (langar) and final ardass (prayer) at Duncan Sikh Temple, 3210 Sherman Rd.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Hardev’s name.
