Hanham: Robert “Bob” Hugh – died peacefully at Cairnsmore Place on Friday January 8, 2010. Bob was born in Duncan B.C. on July 11, 1928. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Lydia Hanham; sister Jane Canell. He is survived by his sister Jean (Lawrence) Kirkham; daughters Kerry (Tim) Duholke; Janis (Dan) Baker; grandchildren; Erin (Skipper), Kimberly, David, Kate and Brooke; great grandchildren Isabell and Andrew; former wife Gladys Tabbernor as well as his stepdaughters Lynne Gostin, Cindy Boothby and their families and his former wife Joyce Hanham.
Bob was the longtime owner of the Lawnmower and Equipment Shop in Duncan. A member of the Gyro Club, Bob also loved baseball, jazz and the warm waters of Mexico.
The family would like to thank the incredible staff and volunteers at Cairnsmore Place for the wonderful care they gave Bob during the past 2 ½ years.
A private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial remembrances may be made in Bob’s memory to Cairnsmore, 250 Cairnsmore Place, Duncan BC V9L 1Z5 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 100-394 Duncan St. Duncan BC V9L 1T3.
