Tribute
It's with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother Gurdave ( David) Aug 31 /63 – Dec 5/16. Predeceased by his mother Pauline Evelyn Butler ( Marge) father Pritiam Singh Grawal (Ganny) sister Pauline Diane Wight. Dave is survived by sister Pamela (Micheal), sister Gloria (Monty) and lots of nieces & nephews. David was born in Duncan Hospital, he grew up in Port Renfrew where he was raised by his very loving mom and dad & 3 sisters. The family relocated to Lake Cowichan where Dave graduated from high school. Dave then moved to Duncan where over the years he worked at several jobs and made some very good friends. David's passion was computers, he loved a good cigar & and a whiskey now and then, he'll be deeply missed by his family & friends. Thank you to Dr. Toth and the staff at Cowichan Dist. Hospital

Although I only knew Gurdave for a short while, I very much liked and respected him. We had many chats together. He was a very kind, gentle and giving person. I was the commissionaire there last Xmas. I will miss saying hi on my mall visits now. My sincere condolences to his family. I will miss him.

It was with sadness that I learned of Gurdave’s untimely passing. He was a positive and upbeat individual. He was a pleasure to work with and was a steady, reliable worker. He never let you down.
