Glen Pontious
September 19, 1953 - December 20, 2020
Tribute
Glen Passed away suddenly on December 20, 2020. He was predeased by his Mother Glady and his Father Don. Glen leaves behind his wife Trish and three sons Joel, Dan (Liz), Phil (Carlie) and his three Grandsons, who he adored Jack, Hugh and Tucker.
Glen will be remembered as a loving son, father, husband and Grandpa and a great friend to many. He was born and raised on the family farm in Glenora. Glens career was mostly a gravel truck driver but his real passion was farming. Glen could be found out on farm most anytime tending to his cows, helping Trish in her gardens or just on his side by side striking up conversation with anyone who stopped by the farm.
He adored his role as grandpa from reading to the boys or learning a new song that had Tucker’s name in it. Glen will be greatly missed by his family and all that got to know him. He had a larger then life personality and could find the good in almost anyone.
A celebration of life will be held for Glen at the family farm with details to be determined at a later date.

Trish, I’m so sorry to hear about Glen. My message is late as I’m just reading this now but please know how terribly sorry I am and I’m thinking of you xx

From: Kathleen Williams
As soon as Carlie became family the rest of us were treated like family also. Glen was so kind and welcoming to anyone who stopped by the farm. You could see and feel his pride for his family and the life he and Trish had built . He will be remembered by all who knew him and we will be sure his grandsons grow up knowing what a wonderful man their grandfather was . We are thinking about you all.

We were fortunate to call Glen a friend for over 20 years. He was kind, generous and always happy to see you. He was one of the first people to help us when we moved to the neighbourhood and that help never wavered over the years. We are still a little shocked he is gone but we wish the family the best and will remember Glen fondly. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Trish and Family,
We are sorry for your profound loss at this time and wish to send you our sympathy. I have fond memories of working with you both when you built your new home in Glenora. He was a kind considerate man and enjoyable to work with, and had a good sense of humour. May the many good memories help serve to ease your pain; you will carry those in your hearts always.
Most sincerely,
Liz and Leon Van Essen
