At this difficult time I am grateful that I do have so many awesome memories of my father that I can look back on and smile about.Memories of him with his never ending sense of humour and memories of how he taught us to be brave. For example he encouraged us as kids to catch garter snakes so we wouldn’t be afraid of snakes. We used to keep them as pets. He forgot to mention however, not to bring them into the corner store with us ! I remember him hauling us up in a bucket tied with a rope so we could get a ride up into the apple tree in our back yard. Too many memories to list… there was never a dull moment growing up in the Mcmaster family. He was always there for us no matter what the circumstance.I’d like to thank him for all of the life lessons that he has given us. His amazing strength and will has taught us so much.

Dad, love you to infinity and beyond ! Sylvia

Glen….my big brother, with your passing the McMaster tree has lost a branch! We did share a closeness although we never did live close to one another geographically. You left home at a young age to sail the seas with the Canadian Navy while I decided to move to the midwest to continue my education. Here I stayed and there you remained. Of course both of us feeling we lived in the best part of the world. May you always rest in peace….I am sure Angus will be there waiting!

From: Gunter,Ingrid and Christine Koch
Relation: Friend

We wish the Mcmaster family our deepest condolences. It is with the greatest of sorrow that we heard of Glen’s passing. I worked with Glen all the years that I worked in William Head Institution. He was a great guy and he was well respected by all of the William Head staff. Glen was a supervisor for some Correctional Officers, he treated everybody fairly and he made sure that his men were well informed so that they worked in a safe environment. Glen became a friend and with his electrical knowledge he helped me sometimes with problems with my boat. In the obituary it mentioned something about his sense of humor and I can attest to this, many times he would play a joke on me or my friends and get a big laugh out of it. I met him not too long ago at one of our breakfast for retired staff from William Head and I would never thought that would have been the last time that I would see him.

Uncle Glen,
You were always smiling, joking and pulling pranks on someone.
You will be missed. Rest in peace.

From: William A. Demish
Relation: Friend - Ex shipmate

Betty and myself would like to take this time to pass on our condolences to all the family. Glen and I sailed on HMCS Stettler for a couple years and a better friend and shipmate could not be found. I say that even though I was ejected from his car twice in one night. I realized it was not his fault that old junker was not designed to hurtle down the highway sideways. We had many adventures as we sailed the world, but he would always chuckle when he would remind me of that night he sent me bouncing along the pavement and losing the seat of my pants. Glen – thanks for your friendship and keeping in touch all these years. We will miss you friend, may you rest in peace.
