Georgette Beatrice LeBlanc
November 28, 1933 - May 12, 2026
Tribute
Born in Donnelly, Alberta, to Paul and Ella LeBlanc, Georgette was one of eight children. Her family moved to Port Moody in the early 1940s before settling in Knutsford, near Kamloops. In 1959, she moved to Vancouver Island, eventually settling in Duncan in the 1980s.
Georgette was a master gardener who cultivated a beautiful yard from seeds. She was known for her kindness, her cheerful nature, and her passion for lifelong learning and self-discovery. She maintained close relationships with her many nieces and nephews, who fondly remember the lively family gatherings.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to her dear friends, Ed and Juanita, and their extended family for their warmth and inclusion. We also thank the staff at Cowichan Hospice House for their exceptional care, and offer a special thanks to Dr. Shaver, whom Georgette highly valued as a friend.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Ann’s building at Providence Farm.

Relation: Friend
From a client to a friend. I got the privilege of meeting Georgette’s friendship in the last year. It didn’t take long for us to connect! We laughed and had such great conversations. I know she’s having a good belly laugh right now in gratitude for her lived life! She was a force of love. I can still hear her chuckle in my heart!

Relation: Adopted family
We will miss Grannie Georgie but she will always be in our hearts and our garden… with plants she nurtured and we transplanted to a section of our garden in her memory… we adopted each other and she loved my children and grandchildren as her own… we will miss her baking and jams and preserves… much love to her family…
