Tribute
George O. Treit, born July 20, 1922, died at home on January 15, 2013. He was a life time member of the Gizeh Shriners of Vancouver and Cowichan Valley Shrine Club of Duncan. George was an active volunteer at Providence Farm for the last ten years. He is survived by his wife Nora, brother Robert, daughter Janice and sons Dallas and Douglas.
A service will be held on January 31 at 3:00 pm in St. Peters Anglican Church, 5800 Church Road, Duncan. Online condolences may be offered at www.hwwallacecbc.com. H.W. Wallace 250-701-0001.

My condolences to the Treit family. I was a child when I met George and he always used to bring us a huge chocolate bar when he visited. Thought about him last night and googled him and found this obituary. So sad I didn’t connect with him before he passed. My dad’s name was Dave Evans. His sister in law was married to my uncle. Special guy.
