Tribute
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Arthur Reynolds on Jun 1, 2023 at the age of 88 years at Cowichan Hospital in Duncan BC. He is survived by Cindy, his wife of 64 years, and their four children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all members of his large family.
George was born in Cardiff, Wales on March 29, 1935. He served in the Welsh Guards for three years and then worked as a truck driver. In 1959 he married Cindy and they immigrated to Canada. He became a skilled millwright and welder, and worked at smelters, mines and sawmills across British Columbia. For many years he was at the same time an orchardist in Summerland.
George enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. In later years, he and Cindy moved to Duncan where he loved sailing his little sailboat.
A celebration of his life will be held at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre in Duncan BC on July 22nd at 1:00 pm.”
