George Donald Pinder

February 2, 1938 - September 15, 2020

Tribute

George passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Raye, his children Clif (Ladona), Glen (Pamela), Lisa (Darren), David, Joe (Karla), Brothers Gordon, Walt (Donna), Sisters Patricia and Beth (Gary), 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

George was involved with the Canadian Coast Guard for 34 years, the Malahat Lions Club for 41 years, 744 Cowichan Air Cadets for 13 years, the Duncan Dabber Bingo Society for 13 years and instrumental in the development of the ‘Lions Cove’ senior complex in Mill Bay.

He gave of his time to his community and farm. He will be deeply missed by one and all.

You were and will ALWAYS be loved.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the Island Health Home Care Nursing and Home Support team, Dr. Randhawa, Dr. Masuda, Dr. Zhang, the Southall family, Tom Worth and H. W. Wallace.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2021.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Malahat Lions Club or 744 Cowichan Air Cadets.
