Born December 27th, 1921 in Port Alberni, BC, he passed away peacefully November 22, 2014 at Glenwarren Lodge in Victoria. George was predeceased by his infant son Ronald Dwayne, his wife Doris May and five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his son George D. (Sue) Kilvington and his sister Elsie Robertson. George served though WW2 with the Royal Canadian Navy on both the North Atlantic and Pacific theaters.

He was wounded while on the Atlantic duty. After the war, he took employment at H.M.C. Dockyard where he was offered an electricians apprenticeship. He went on to serve the rest of his career at Dockyard, becoming Supervisor of the Electrical Shop. After retirement years, George became afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease which eventually caused him to be placed in Glenwarren Lodge. Thanks to the caring staff at Glenwarren Lodge.
