In loving memory ~
The bright eyes and dimples of our beautiful boy Ethan Matthew Jason Stone left this world on February 23, 2023. He was 12-years-old and into everything. He loved baseball and hockey and the Boston Bruins and would challenge anyone to a board game. He had a great imagination and liked to build things, including an elaborate tree fort with his dad. Ethan was born in Victoria, B.C. on November 24, 2010 but lived most of his life in Duncan.
Ethan was a wonderful big brother to his sister Athena, who was his frequent co-conspirator in many capers and adventures. Ethan’s parents Andy and Melissa Stone will always carry loving memories of their affectionate and helpful boy who was also known for mischief. Left to mourn are Ethan’s grandparents Kathy Edwards, Therese Stone, Miles Edwards and Gord Stone; his big brother Dakotah (Amelia); and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. Ethan was predeceased by his beloved Bumpa.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at St Joseph’s Parish, 753 Burnside Road West, Victoria, B.C., it will also be live streamed. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Ethan’s memory by e-transfer to cvmha@shaw.ca, for an annual award to be presented to a U13 hockey player who is a “digger”. Or to the family at k.edwards@shaw.ca.
