In loving memory of Elizabeth Anne Pickles (Wilcock)
November 13, 1921 – November 11, 2016
Elizabeth passed away peacefully in Duncan, BC at Cairnsmore Place. Predeceased by her parents, siblings, other relatives and her husband Samuel Pickles in 1997. She is survived by her loving daughter Anne Welch (Terry), her loving son Sammy and grandchildren Julie (Jason), Jennifer (Mark), Jacqueline and great grandchildren Kyle and Amber.
Born in Liverpool, England, Elizabeth served with the British Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps during World War 2 where she met Samuel and married. In the 1980’s Elizabeth and Samuel immigrated to Canada to join her daughter Anne and family.
There will be no service by request and Inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Duncan.
Donations can be made to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.
Thank you to the staff at Cairnsmore Place, Dr. Rhonda Pullen and Dr. Diane Thompson for your care of Elizabeth. Thank you to St. Edwards Church, Fr. Luyen Dau and volunteers.
