Elizabeth (Beth) Liboiron

Tribute

Forever loved and remembered

With great sadness, the family of Elizabeth “Beth” Liboiron announce her peaceful passing in Duncan BC on September 5th, 2025, at the age of 93.

Beth is survived by her children: daughter Cindy Liboiron (Daniel Graham), Robert Liboiron, Tim (Anita) Liboiron and daughter-in-law Kathie (Dennis) Klassen; grandchildren: Ryan (Sabrina) Liboiron, Shawn (Lisa) Klassen, Randall Liboiron, Chantelle Liboiron, Gina Hunter and Jordan Liboiron; and thirteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Clem; son Leslie; brothers Walter, Joe, Matt, Tony and sisters Agnes, Tina and Kay.

Born to parents Eva and Gregor Obrigewitsch on a small family farm outside of Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, Beth grew up one of eight children. Around the age of nine years old, the family moved to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. After high school graduation she went on to earn a secretarial-clerical diploma in Medicine Hat, Alberta and began working. It was there that she met the love of her life, Clem, at a church meeting. A shy man who loved to play pool, he soon won her heart and they were married in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan in 1951. It was a marriage lasting over 66 years before Clem’s passing in 2018.

Beth enjoyed a busy and fulfilling life surrounded by family and the company of many good friends. She devoted her time to taking care of her family and the house always smelled of fresh baking or the delicious meals she would prepare. She also took pleasure in card games with friends and had a love of both square and round dancing with Clem. Beth had a passion for gardening and it showed in her beautiful flower beds and vegetable gardens. She also had a knack for sewing, and you could often find her sitting behind her sewing machine creating matching square dance outfits for Clem and herself. After Clem’s retirement, the two of them spent their winters in Yuma, AZ where they enjoyed the warm weather and continued dancing for many years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cairnsmore Place for their wonderful care that Beth received.

A cherished Mother and Grandmother who will be sorely missed. She leaves us with memories of a life well lived and a lifetime of memories to share.

A private family gathering will be held in lieu of a service.
