Eleanor Emily Figg

Eleanor passed away peacefully, accompanied by her husband Shaun, finally succumbing to a battle with dementia, bravely fought. She passed away at Cerwydden Care in Duncan on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the early morning.
Eleanor lived most of her life in Alberta. She was born to her parents, Emily and Jim Davies in Edmonton on March 9, 1948. She was predeceased by her parents. Eleanor loved them dearly. She is survived by her adoring husband Shaun, daughter Jo-elle, brother Milton and sister Donna-Gayle. Eleanor moved to Cobble Hill, B.C. in 2004 to be with her husband Shaun.
Eleanor taught piano for a huge part of her life. She was a dedicated teacher and an accomplished piano player. She had students of all ages. She loved her students and they loved her. She liked to putter in the yard, go on outings with our dog and she had a passion for books and reading.
Eleanor had a gorgeous smile and a kind demeanor that people naturally gravitated to. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Eleanor at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre Inc., 2853 Roberts Road, Duncan BC on February 11th, 2026 at 1 pm.

Eleanor was a truly special person with a heart of gold. Her compassion, kindness, and gentle nature made her a joy to be around. I have many fond memories of her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a cute giggle. Her incredible piano skills were truly inspiring, and I decided to learn how to play the piano and taught myself Fur Elise and one of Chopin’s etudes. I miss her and will always cherish the memories I have of her. Love you, Eleanor
