October 30, 1928 – September 12, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share that our Mom, Eileen, has passed away. She was the heart of our family. Eileen was a light in this world, living as a beacon of Christ’s love. Through her humility and unwavering trust in the Lord, they touched countless lives. Mom found joy in service, guided by Philippians 1:21, ‘For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.’ Though we mourn their earthly absence, we take comfort in knowing they are now with their Savior, free from pain and full of eternal joy.
We gather to celebrate the life of our Mother, Eileen, a beloved child of God. Mom lived with a heart full of faith, reflecting Christ’s Love in every action. Whether through quiet acts of kindness or steadfast encouragement, Mom reminded us of the power of God’s Grace. As 2 Timothy 4:7 says, “They fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.’ We rejoice knowing Mom is now at peace in the presence of the Lord, and her legacy of faith will continue to inspire us all.
Eileen loved her garden, and she found joy in sharing its flowers and vegetables with Family & neighbors. I can still Mom & Dad looking out the window where their beautiful Fuchsia hung, watching the Hummingbirds flutter, a memory I will always cherish. Her great Love for her Family & Friends overflowed with each and every one that had the privilege and honour of knowing her. She always said, there is good in everyone. She always had time for everyone, never turning anyone away. She shared what she had with all and, you never left her home without some small gift, be it food or something she had knit. She was always knitting something, toques, gloves, cuddle blankets, dishcloths, she was always making something. Not a day went by without her giving and sharing herself, her Love & Faith for God and her Unconditional Love for Family. She was always checking in on her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren, and her heart was never too full to welcome more. She listened, encouraged, and quietly made sure everyone felt cared for.
She is now reunited with her husband, Robert “Bob” Hugh Picketts, great grandchildren, Jesse Chivilo, Sativa Chivilo & Jade Begg.
Eileen is survived by her daughters, Karen Stewart, (Rick), Gayle Johnson, (Leo), Wynelle Powers, (Lon), Lorna Begg, (Durno), and son, Laverne Picketts. Grandchildren, Shaun Boos, (Beverly), Brandea Picketts, Krystal Llimatta, (Kyle) Travis Johnson, (Becca), Nathan Johnson, (Adina), Jason Powers, Bobbi Powers, Kody Begg, (Kim), Gairod Begg, (Jen), Chad Begg, Dustyn Picketts. 21 Great- Grandchildren, & 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren & Lynda & Steve Hodgkinson & Family, children of her heart & Jonathon, Alice & boys. Eileen’s Love and Legacy will carry on through all of us. Momma, know that you are Loved more than words can say & will be missed beyond compare. We Love You Lots, Forever & Always ……. Bigger & Bigger, Your Family.

To my sisters Karen, Gayle, Lorna, and my brother Laverne. May God Bless You All at this devastating time of loss of OUR MOTHER. May you ALL have memories to remember and turn to help comfort you, may you ALL have friends and families to turn to help support you through this time of grief. May you all have the Faith and trust in God’s Love and care to give you hope, strength, guidance, compassion, comfort and courage for tomorrow, to endure this difficult time in our lives. I am thinking of you all during this difficult time. We can never be fully prepared to deal with the devastating loss of someone we LOVE let alone OUR MOM. It’s in these moments of grief that others will hoist us up to help carry us through to the other side of sorrow, sadness and grief. As we go trough life’s greatest sorrow Always remember that OUR MOM has gone to a beautiful place with Dad and other LOVED ones who gone before her and ready to welcome her home to HEAVEN.

To my Children Jason and Bobbi- Jean and my 2 Grandchildren Korbin and Presley I Love you more than words could ever say. I know your Grandma(Great Grandma) felt the very same way. Life is a journey of LOVE and SORROW, yesterday, memories and dreams for tomorrow. I send you all, my deepest sympathies and hope this little poem will help you during this time of loss. If grandma (great grandma) could talk to you I’m sure she would say something like this to you.
Time for me to go now, I won’t say goodbye; Look for me in the rainbow’s way up in the sky. In the morning sunrise, when all the world is new, just look for me and love me, as you know, I love you. Time for me to leave you now, I won’t say goodbye; Look for me in the rainbows, high up in the sky. In the evening sunset when all the world is through, just look for me and love me, and I’ll be close to you. EVER SAY!!!

MY PRECIOUS LOVE FOR MY MOM

Each letter has a very special meaning to me;

M: Memories start with the PRECIOUS LOVE, given by a MOTHER to a Daughter! From
the very first time you excitedly say, “hey, I remember that,” to quickly storing it away
in my HEART, for those days when you need those memories the most, to seal that
crack in my heart from the pain of my MOM’S passing.
Y: You were and are always going to be so PRECIOUS to me, I LOVE YOU MOM!
P: People come and go in and out of our lives, but a Mother’s LOVE is here to stay forever
no matter what! Her SOUL LIVES ON and STAYS within our HEARTS until our dying day
R: Real is her UNDYING and PRECIOUS LOVE she has for all her children.
E: Everyday brought new situations that proved her LOVE For us all!!!
C: Children are a blessing, but can also cause heartache and heartbreak.
I: Intense are all the emotions we feel and overwhelming is experiencing the LOSS of
OUR MOTHER.
O: Old and sacred are the beliefs, traditions and verses from the BIBLE that OUR MOM
passed on to all her children.
U: UNIMAGINABLE AND UNBEARABLE IS THE PAIN AND THE GRIEF FROM LOSING OUR
MOM! UNWAVERING AND UNDYING IS OUR LOVE FOR HER!!!
S: SPECIAL, MEANINGFUL and BLESSED are the times that we ALL shared with OUR
MOM. She will continue to be LOVED and live on in OUR HEARTS FOREVER!!!

L: LOVE, Which is so very PRECIOUS, is ALWAYS protected safely in OUR HEARTS no
Matter how hard our minds try to tell us differently.
O: OUR MOM had dealt with so much sadness and pain in her life yet ALWAYS had LOVE
in her heart!!
V: VERY SAD is my HEART for knowing she had gone through so much unnecessary pain
E: EVERYONE has their own unique way of grieving during a time of SORROW AND
LOSS and it is a time for respecting and honouring OUR MOTHER!

F: Forgiveness is something OUR MOTHER found to be very important and we need to
honour that in order to be a SOLID FAMILY! Walls of negativity actions and emotions
NEED to be knocked down so OUR HEALING can begin.
O: OUR HEARTS and MINDS are not always conductive to OUR MOTHER’S Way of
thinking, but hopefully, with PRECIOUS LOVE and time for sorrow and grief to pass,
positive things can happen!!!
R: RESENTMENT It’s a hard emotion to overcome no matter how hard we try or how
much we want things to change. STAY firm IN REMEMBERING ALL the PRECIOUS
LOVING MOMENTS WE ALL SHARED WITH OUR MOTHER, as a family or as
individuals.THESE ARE THE PRECIOUS AND MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO HANG
ONTO as we grieve the loss of OUR MOM.
O: OVER The years you were ALWAYS there for ALL of US MOM, no matter what, always
giving of yourself and always thinking of others before yourself!!!
U: UNDERSTANDING When we need a gentle nudge, a warm and comforting hug,or just
lending a kind non-judgmental ear.
R: REWARDING and UPLIFTING were the many loving stories from the BIBLE and YOUR
HEART, gentle and thoughtful were the prayers we shared! NO ONE and NOTHING
CAN EVER TAKE THAT FROM MY HEART!!!

M: MANY hours, days, and years…. ALL ETERNITY IN PEACE! PRECIOUS and
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, HAPPINESS, JOY and TRANQUILITY, are wishes upon you,
MOM, as you join all your LOVED ones in HEAVEN. I LOVE YOU NOW AND FOR
ALWAYS !!!
O: OUTSTANDING were her beautiful flower and bountiful vegetable gardens, everyone
enjoyed and were nourished from them!
M: MEMORIES are the only things we have left since your passing MOM, so we will lock
them safely away in OUR HEARTS and no one can steal them or alter them in
anyway. FOR PRECIOUS times like these MOM, we can pull them out and hold on
tight!

MOM, I KNOW YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU AND HOW PRECIOUS AND
MEANINGFUL THAT LOVE IS TO ME. MOM, I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS COULD

To all grandma Eileen‘s grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. and their families .We send our deepest sympathies. As you go through the loss of your grandmother, great grandmother, and your aunt, may you have some faith in God to bring you comfort today and courage for tomorrow, and hope in your heart for always. I would like to say a few words that I think Grandma, Great Grandma, and/ or Aunt would LOVE to be able to say to all of you if she could talk today. I am sending my LOVE to all of you! If you feel alone and overwhelmed just remember, I am right beside you can just talk away and I will hear you! If you still feel really alone, and need a hug, wrap your arms around yourself and feel the warmth of my arms tightly holding you! If you are still sad or angry, maybe think of me in the calm of my beautiful garden with flowers and vegetables all around me! When the world knocks you down just lean on me, I will help you get back up, and say YOU GOT THIS! Just believe in your inner strength, just look deep inside yourself or say a little a PRAYER . If you ever need to speak to someone, I here and I will always be listening. When the paths are beaten down and seem full of pitfalls just believe you can turn those pitfalls into dreams of reality just keep on pushing through and saying I CAN DO THIS! When people doubt you, Don’t give up PUSH HARDER, DIG DEEPER, and PROVE them WRONG. When you’re not feeling LOVED always remember I CARE FOR YOU and I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS! No matter where you are or what you are doing in your life. I LOVE YOU for exactly who you are. Remember always if you need me. I’m right beside you. LOVE you all.
