Tribute
Peter passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 after battling a quick and ferocious cancer. Sadly missed by all of our extended family and his two dogs, Paddy and Molly.
Peter leaves behind his wife Lia, his first wife and mother of his children Diana Cooper Gould, his sister Pippa (Denis) Schmiegelow, all of our children, Cathy (David) Edwards, Tony (Yoshimi) Vanrenen, Chris (Kirsten) Vanrenen, Thor (Donalee) Roos and Skye (Len) Watt. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren Logan, Ben, Ethan, Euan, Ayden, Maya, Toby and Zack, his two aunts by marriage Jacqui Gordon and Naomi (Max) Johansen and many loved nieces and relatives in England, Ireland and Canada. Peter was born in Northern Ireland and also spent some of his young years in Malaysia where his father ran a rubber plantation. He went to school at Wellington in England and Trinity College in Dublin where he excelled at business. At a young age Peter taught himself to do cryptic crosswords and continued to solve them all his life. Peter also shared his passion for duplicate bridge with his wife Lia.
A Reception will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan, BC
