Tribute
Don Truman White of Cobble Hill, BC passed away June 15, 2014 after a long struggle with prostate cancer.
Don was born in Vancouver, BC on March 3, 1942 and predeceased by his father Howard Truman and mother Eva Mary. Don met Kathy while attending Chilliwack High and they were married October 2, 1965. Don was with the CIBC for many years before buying into a Victoria business. Don and Kathy moved to Arbutus Ridge in 1991 and retirement golf became his passion.
Don leaves to mourn his passing; his wife of 48 years Kathy, sons Richard (Elaine) and James (Tracey); his adored grandchildren Michael, Conner, Taylor and Brookelyn; sister Valerie and brothers Ross and Robert.
No service by request. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.

We were saddened as so many people were with Don’d death, but it came only after he put up an amazing fight to extend his life.
I didn’t knowDon as well and as long as his many friends but from the first time I met him he impressed me with his enthusiiasm for life in general, for his family, and for his golf. Don had a genuine driving force that I know carried him through his business career, his illness, and that coupled with his determination he improved rapidly with his golfing skills.
With Don’s legacy I know he left the world a better place for all members of his family.

Don was many things and his life ended too early – great husband to my sister Kathy, adoring father to Richard & Jamie and their spouses and kids – astute businessman, good friend to many, passionate golfer and sports fan. Always loved my visits to the Island and to the happy and lively White House – will miss Don’s great Caesars. It’s been a long struggle, Kathy, for you & your family but I know Don has left you with many happy memories.
