Tribute
We announce with profound sadness that Derek died on April 1, 2013 after a year-long battle with cancer. He is survived by Sandra Ann Austin (Sandy), his wife, best friend and soul mate. Also surviving him is his brother, Roy Austin and his wife, Carol. Derek enjoyed a rich life with no regrets. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 3295 Cobble Hill Road, Cobble Hill, on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 am.
Donations in Derek’s memory may be made to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation, the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society or the BC Cancer Foundation
