Tribute
Dave passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Acacia Lodge in Shawnigan Lake. He was born in Springhill, Nova Scotia and went on to live in Killarney, Manitoba, Nanaimo, BC, Airdrie Alberta and finally settled in the Cowichan Valley.
Dave was an avid fisherman and loved his summers spent in Port Renfrew.
He struggled with health issues throughout his life and finally succumbed to a rapidly progressing dementia that left him as a shell of his previous self. He loved people and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be missed but not forgotten.
He is survived by his sons Greg (Melissa) and Jason (Trenia), grandchildren Kinzley, Oaklen, Kiran, Kadence, Reece, Necko and Vida.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring nursing staff at Acacia Lodge.
