David MacGregor Bowron
March 30, 1941 – September 26, 2018
David’s final wish was granted in the early evening of Wednesday September 26, 2018 when he slipped peacefully away at Cowichan District Hospital.
Dave was predeceased by his father Norman and mother “Dickie”. Dave leaves behind his sister Norma, wife Pat and his Nieces and nephews, Barb, Chris, Cath, Brent and Brian and his good friend Ruth.
Dave lived his whole life in Duncan and had many friends in the Cowichan Valley.
He drove truck since the age of 18 in the Valley. He belonged to the Cowichan Valley Pony Club and was instrumental in the running of the club for a number of years. Whilst in the club he initiated the 3 day eventing on the island.
Since his retirement his greatest pleasure was fishing in Sooke where he met and made many lifelong friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Ibrahim, Dr. Masuda and the staff at Cowichan District Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. At Dave’s request in lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
