Passed away in Victoria, B.C. on Saturday February 21, 2015, his 53rd birthday, doing what he loved. Dan was born in Ottawa, Ont. on February 21, 1962. Loving father to his son Justin Theriault, step children Shannon Radford and Geoff Radford. Beloved boyfriend to Tennillie Caissie, with her children Alexis, Arizen and Austin Smiley. Dear brother to Micheline Ayers and children Jason and Addison, Nicole Zito and children Guiseppe, Antonio and Ava, and Mitch and his wife Barb. Dan will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be on Friday March 13 at 5pm in the Royal Canadian Legion, 1625 Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road, Shawnigan Lake, B.C..

Relation: Dan was my father's best friend
Dan, or as my father and I called him, “Damp Rag/Dan Preg” was one of the most kind hearted people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He always wore a contagious smile on his face and never failed to make your worst day into a good one. I knew Dan as a someone who would never let a bad day get the best of him and he would give you the shirt off of his back to keep you warm. He was the sunshine on a rainy day. My most sincere condolences go out to all of Dan’s family and friends and know that when the rain is falling, Dan will be standing beside you, holding your umbrella.
