Daniel Arthur Morgan

June 14, 1969 - January 20, 2023

Tribute

Dan was born in Quesnel, B.C. to his parents, Dave and Patricia Morgan. Dan died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Duncan, B.C.

Music was the core of his life and he shared it with his close friends: Paul, Mark, Bob and Bev.  Family friend, Ken Murphy, meant a lot to him too, as many flying adventures were shared. Music is what he turned to for solace in life.

Dan and his dad, Dave, went through the best and worst of times, always supporting each other no matter what.

Dan took over his Dad’s business in 2008 and took it to another level.  He retired at the age of 51, but sadly not enough time was spent enjoying it. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dan is survived by Dave and his step-mother Joy, his mom Patricia, step sister Gabrielle, aunts Beth and Wanda and cousins Peter, Tyler, Stephanie, Joanne and Lauren, as well as their 5 children.

Relation: Old boyfriend, friend.

Ohhh Dan, you’ve left too soon. I’m just gutted. So grateful you reached out last year after learning I’d come home after 15 years away. It was so good to see you again, to appreciate once more your genuine kindness and gentle spirit. Thank you for taking us up in the plane and sharing new stories about your Dad. So angry with myself for not making the time to see you more, start being real friends again with you and Grace. Why do we always put off the truly important things in life in favour of the mundane? Such a cruel way to learn this lesson. I’ll think of you every time I spot those birds of yours, circling above our treetops. Rest in peace Danny Boy.

Dan was my lovely son-in-law. To me he was kind, generous, funny a really stand up man. We always called him “Dan the man”. He was like a third son to me which I called them “the boys”. We had many family trips together cruising through the Panama Canal. We went out on many fun trips on his boat. He took me up on his plane. We, as a family, had good times together and lots of laughter.

I miss you Dan. You left us far too soon. Love from, Louise

To Dave, Joy, and family. Our sincere condolences on the unimaginable loss of Dan. Our collective thoughts and prayers go out to you.

From: Steve and Andrea Noble
Relation: Brother in Law

We were lucky enough to call Dan our brother in law for many years. We had some amazing family memories that we will always cherish…cruising the Panama Canal and Caribbean, Everglade tour and eating frog legs, boating adventures and so much more. Dan….you really knew how to have a good time and valued family so much. You will be in our hearts forever dancing and having fun.
