D Jeanette Schultz
November 21, 1951 - January 23, 2015
Tribute
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of my wife, best friend and soul mate, D. Jeanette died peacefully in bed along side her husband in the early hours of January 23, 2015. She no longer has to endure the terrible pain she has been fighting since being diagnosed with oral cancer 11 months ago after returning from a wonderful holiday in Mexico. Jeanette loved her family very much and leaves behind to mourn, her husband Wayne, mother Doris (Tony), brother Tom, daughters Cindy (Dave), Tara (Tyson), Nicole (Chris), grandchildren Robert, Randi (Justin), Kristofer, Callissa, Kirkland and newly acquired great grandaughter Sophia. Jeanette also had a second family she acquired when she married Wayne and loved them as much as she did her own family, consisting of 3 daughters, 3 granddaughters and a great grandson. Jeanette and wayne enjoyed their many years of camping and fishing at beautiful Kampkum and on their retirement did a few years of snowbirding in Yuma where Jeanette made many new friends who she kept in touch with thru the years. Jeanette had a gift of talking to most anyone and making a friend of them. As years passed, Jeanette found it easier for Wayne and her to get on a plane and fly down to Mexico rather than drag a trailer all the way to Yuma for a holiday, and she enjoyed months of internet shopping to find a condo to stay at. At Jeanette's request, there will be no service. Instead, one day in the spring (TBA) she would like to buy all her friends and relatives a Lucky Lager in her back yard; a place she loved very much. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Society for oral cancer research. No Tribute at this time.

We are so sad to hear this, but she is no longer suffering. You two were the most perfect soul mates, and so sad she had to go so soon. We feel very honoured to have been counted as one of her friends. Rest in peace our friend Jeanette. You take care and we will see you in the spring. Love to you and her family.

Wayne, I was so saddened to read of Jeanette’s passing. She was an amazing woman and I am sorry I never knew her outside the hospital environment. No matter how sick she was, she would alwaysvflash a smile and laugh at my bad jokes.
I know she got her strength from you and your tireless encouragement. I am keeping you close in my heart during your time of grieving….
